Granite Academy is a small, nonprofit therapeutic day school that serves approx 50 middle and
high school students. We are re-establishing our library after several years of disuse. We are in
the beginning stages of this plan. We need someone who is innovative, collaborative, and
excited to help us design a robust 21st century school library. We are looking for someone who
is excited to be part of our school community, evaluate what we currently have and create
possibly two spaces on our small campus that will enhance student engagement, excitement of
learning – an area for research and one that is interactive. We are hoping to work with someone
who is inspired and wants to work collaboratively with our students and teachers.

This would be a wonderful opportunity for a student who is considering a career as a school
librarian or someone who needs special education experience.

Location – An onsite visit would be ideal to start (although a virtual meeting is possible) – we are
willing to work with you! Transportation from the Braintree T station would be provided if
needed.
