The University of Washington Libraries seeks an enthusiastic librarian committed to providing responsive and innovative information services in support of the 3,500 students, faculty, and staff of the Foster School of Business. Reporting to the Head, Foster Business Library, the Business Research and Instruction Librarian provides information literacy instruction, in-depth research consultations, and general reference service in the Foster Business Library, located in the business school complex and one of several branch libraries on the Seattle campus. The librarian collaborates with the other two business librarians in initiating, establishing, and maintaining liaison relationships with faculty, students, and staff in the Foster School of Business. The successful candidate will have the capacity to thrive in an exciting, ambiguous, future-oriented Libraries environment, and to respond effectively to changing needs and priorities.

This position is not tenure eligible. This position is represented by SEIU 925 – Libraries. Please see the SEIU 925 collective bargaining agreement for the Librarian promotion process. This position is eligible for hybrid work.
