Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Librarian for Researcher Services, Library of the University of California, Davis

The Library of the University of California, Davis, seeks a proactive, innovative, and collaborative librarian to work closely with graduate students, faculty, and institutional stakeholders in a highly interdisciplinary academic community. Reporting to the Head of Researcher Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing research consultations, user instruction, and user engagement with a focus on research and scholarship in the Arts, Humanities and Social Science disciplines, with a particular emphasis on Ethnic, Cultural, and Gender Studies. The successful candidate must be able to collaborate effectively to deliver library services and outreach aligned with the University Library’s mission, vision and strategic priorities.

Salary and Benefits 

Rank and salary: Assistant Librarian, Salary Point 1, $61,920 to Associate Librarian, Salary Point 10, $87,552. (Appointment rank and salary based on qualifications and experience.)

The incumbent will be a member of the LX Collective Bargaining Unit represented by the University Council – American Federation of Teachers (UC-AFT).

The University of California is one of the largest employers in California, and offers outstanding health and retirement benefits to its employees and their families. Librarians are academic appointees and earn 24 days of vacation and 12 days of sick leave per year.
