Technical Services Reference Librarian, Nashua Public Library, (Nashua, NH)

40 hours/week including evenings and weekends

Starting salary not to exceed $51,300

Full time 40-hour position in the Technical Services department and at service desks. Schedule includes regular evening and weekend hours. Duties include acquisition, cataloging, and processing of materials for the library collection as well as providing direct customer service up to 20 hours per week at a service desk. Stays abreast of current trends in technical services and leads the team in best practices. Schedule includes at least one night and weekends in rotation.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

MLS from an ALA accredited university + 1 year of experience in technical services in a public library setting.  Advanced knowledge of cataloging and metadata standards (AARC2, RDA, Dublin Core); Proficiency and experience with MS Office and team communication software; Demonstrated ability to work with vendors; Ability to deliver prompt and professional solutions for customer inquiries via phone, email, online chat etc.
