Dartmouth College Library – Head of Metadata Services and Strategies, (Hanover, NH)

Dartmouth Library is seeking a Head of Metadata Services and Strategies to provide forward-thinking leadership to the department responsible for original and copy cataloging, authority control, and development of standards and policy for bibliographic control. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Libraries, Collections and Content Strategies, the Head of Metadata Services and Strategies will lead the department with a user-centered mindset in the creation and ingestion of metadata that aids in the discoverability of information resources held locally and globally as well as exploring new practices to expand discoverability. Partnering with metadata stakeholders across the Library, this role sets appropriate levels of description related to collections and develops and leads metadata initiatives.

Salary Range: $85,000 – $99,000
