Adult Services Librarian, HOPKINTON PUBLIC LIBRARY (Hopkinton)

The Adult Services Librarian, under the direction of the Reference & Technology Supervisor, performs skilled administrative and professional reference work providing various types of support to library patrons and in the daily operations of the Library, particularly Adult Services. This role strives to meet the information and library needs of all patrons by offering informative programs, curating a collection that represents a wide range of interests, and working cooperatively with other staff, town departments, community groups, library networks, local schools and academic agencies.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program and one (1) to three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a public library setting, with a primary focus on adult services; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge of automated library systems; experience with Evergreen preferred.
