Research & Instruction Librarian, WPI (Worcester, MA)
Posted July 21, 2023
We’re excited to announce that Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Gordon Library is hiring a new member of our Library Research & Instruction team.
Our librarians’ integration into undergraduate learning is as unique and dynamic as WPI’s project-centered, global, and interdisciplinary curriculum. R&I Librarians partner with faculty and staff to provide relevant, focused information literacy instruction, focusing on project-based learning and purpose-driven research. Instruction sessions and customized individual and team project and research consultations are delivered throughout WPI’s fast-paced 7-week terms.
The team supports nearly every undergraduate as they prepare to complete the Interactive Qualifying Project (IQP) at project centers around the globe. Their other instruction and research support covers a wide variety of disciplines, including sciences, engineering, humanities, business, and interdisciplinary classes.
Each librarian may have lead or coordinating responsibility for research and curricular areas that align with evolving service needs as well as their experience and interests.
