The University of New Hampshire (UNH) Library seeks a dynamic, innovative Engineering and Physical
Sciences subject librarian. As liaison to the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (CEPS), this
position has primary responsibility for the proactive development and delivery of responsive research and
instructional support. This position is engaged with a variety of library services and actively participates in
the University’s efforts to create and nurture a dynamic learning environment in which individuals of
differing perspectives, life experiences and cultural backgrounds pursue goals with mutual respect and a
shared spirit of inquiry.

The successful candidate will have an aptitude for the teaching, use, and management of resources
relevant to engineering, physical sciences, mathematics, or computer sciences. The successful candidate
will have the ability to work with library colleagues to support scholarly communication initiatives and
newly emerging modes of research and collaboration, including open science.
The position is a 12-month, tenure-track faculty position with appointment at the rank of Assistant or
Associate Professor, depending on qualifications. Reporting to the Dean of the University Library through
the Library Faculty Chair, this position contributes their expertise to relevant library programs. The
incumbent is expected to conduct scholarship, actively participate in library, university, and professional
engagement/service and must meet other UNH Library criteria for promotion and tenure including holding or obtaining a second advanced degree in a chosen field. UNH Faculty are represented by
the AAUP through a collective bargaining agreement. Minimum contractual salary is $84,922 for the rank
of Assistant Professor. Competitive benefits package.
