The Town of Hopkinton seeks a Senior Library Assistant (Less than 19 hours/week) with enthusiasm and a love of public service for its recently renovated and grand public library.

Qualifications

The Senior Library Assistant performs complex administrative work in support of the daily operations of the Library while providing excellent customer service to patrons.  The role requires tact and discretion working in a flexible and energetic work environment.

High School equivalency; Associate’s Degree and/or some additional library course work preferred and three (3) or more years of relevant customer service experience within a public library system preferred, or any combination of equivalent education, training, and experience.

Demonstrated excellent customer service skills. 

Organizational, writing, interpersonal/collaborative communication skills. 

Computer skills that encompass effective use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, email, social media, internet browser, and library software. 

Salary

$22.26  /  hour
