The Entrepreneurship Research & Instruction Librarian I supports and advances library instructional programs within the Entrepreneurship division and beyond, applying instructional design principles, pedagogical knowledge, educational technologies, information literacy standards, and ongoing assessment efforts. In collaboration with campus partners, this position actively promotes library resources and services to support entrepreneurship education and research at the college; provides research consultations; serves as the liaison to the Entrepreneurship division; and supports a strong, responsive, user-centric service model.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Seeks out and develops opportunities to collaborate with campus partners to support entrepreneurship education, research, and co-curricular activities with library resources and services.
- In collaboration with the Research & Instruction team, assesses information literacy needs of students, faculty, and staff and develops creative delivery models to meet those needs.
- Develops and presents training and engagement materials including digital assets, instructional documentation, and in-class presentations to help the community make the most of the library’s resources. Develops innovative and effective models of library outreach for students, faculty and staff.
- Provides research support to the Babson community, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni, as a member of the Research & Instruction Team.
- Participates in the assessment of student learning and contributes to library assessment projects.
- Functions as the liaison to specific academic division(s), including Entrepreneurship, providing library services such as curriculum support, research assistance, library instruction, collection evaluation, and special projects.
- Serves as a contributing member of at least one cross-functional internal library committee.
- Learns, implements, and uses new technologies in pursuit of continuous enhancement of library services and in support of larger Information Technology Services Department (ITSD) initiatives.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
