Photo Archivist Intern, InterSystems, (Cambridge, MA)

The archivist intern is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining systems to collect, preserve, and share analog and digital collections (pictures, books, etc.) This will be a summer internship based in Massachusetts.

This internship would be specifically focusing on a twofold project for the summer:

• A mass digitization project that will help confirm all of our images are digital and ensure all photo books that we own are digital
• Reorganization of our physical archive as well as confirming our inventories

Responsibilities

• Managing and performing tasks associated with the processing of analog and digital collections (photos and pictures).
• Managing, processes to ensure accurate collection of incoming analog and digital materials.
• Responsible for asset standards for file formats, crediting, tagging, and metadata.
• Assessing systems and processes to identify and recommend improvements based on the changing needs.
• Collaborate the Tech Services to monitor, maintain, and assess storage needs, access, and the backup of systems, databases and collections.
