The Instruction & Technology Librarian facilitates the use of information resources and technology in teaching, learning, and scholarship for faculty and students. This liaison provides professional development opportunities to encourage faculty’s attention to transversal learning efforts for information and digital literacies in the classroom and supports students with campus-wide programming, research consultations, and learning experiences in assigned areas. Reporting to the Director of Research and Instruction, this position serves as an administrator for instructional technology systems, including the LMS, develops programmatic objectives, training, and documentation, and advocates for effective use of current and emerging technologies in teaching and learning. This position will enable new initiatives and set standards in digital learning spaces for summer and winter sessions, pre-college, and 4+1 programs. The librarian will welcome the inaugural class of students in a brand new nursing program and design the library’s relationship with this and other departments in the Sciences Division.
