This Medical Librarian :
- Serves as primary contact for reference and research information services, supporting all hospital staff in their clinical, educational, and research goals. Reference and information support is provided over email and phone, and occasional in-person
- Oversees circulation of the library’s print collection
- Catalogs, evaluates, and deaccessions print materials
- Conducts literature searches on behalf of hospital staff using PubMed, CINAHL and other databases and digital resources
- Attends patient-centered clinical teaching rounds and provides relevant literature to the clinical team
- Provides technology support to patrons and connects them with internal and external expert technical support as needed
- Maintaining access to digital library resources, including databases, e-books, e-journals, full-text article links, and other e-resources
- Representing the library and its services in presentations to other departments and individuals
- Building and fostering dynamic, collaborative relationships with the BCH community of staff and employees.
- Other responsibilities and special projects include: collection development, maintaining statistics on material usage and library activities, developing and maintaining LibGuides, library programming
