SUBSTITUTE REFERENCE LIBRARIAN, Lynnfield Public Library (Lynnfield)

Description

The Lynnfield Public Library is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic candidate committed to great customer service to join our welcoming, inclusive, and collaborative team as a Substitute Reference Librarian. This position serves as a substitute Reference Librarian in the Reference Department and provides a variety of reference services using an automated library circulation system, requiring substantive knowledge of the library’s collections, services, systems, policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science, or partial completion of relevant course work, or any equivalent combination of education and experience, which demonstrates possession of required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Our Reference Desk shifts are as follows: morning shift is 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; afternoon shift is 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; evening shift is 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Monday to Thursdays only for evening shifts); Saturdays 9-5 with an hour for lunch. We are closed on Sundays. We are particularly looking for a substitute reference librarian who is available to work occasional evening shifts as well as some Saturdays.

Salary $22.71 / hour
