The James P. Adams Library at Rhode Island College is excited to announce the job posting for the Interlibrary Loan Assistant position.

The Interlibrary Loan Assistant provides assistance to the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Services Supervisor and supports the operations of the Library’s Interlibrary Loan department. Primary responsibilities include processing lending requests through retrieval of materials, accurate scanning of books, journals, and microfilms, retrieving electronic documents from databases, and shipping and receiving of incoming and outgoing library mail and packages. The ILL Assistant performs all the daily functions of ILL in absence of the ILL Supervisor. This position is cross-trained to provide support for the Borrowing Services unit in the absence of the evening Library Supervisor.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution

Experience: One year of library experience

Hours: Monday-Thursday 2:15-10:15PM and Friday, 9:15AM-5:15PM; summer and break hours vary
