Library Director (Full-Time), City of Chelsea, MA

Description:

The Library Director is responsible for department level management of the Library Department within the scope of the policies established by the City; including planning, administration, supervision and staff development, collection development, policy management, services and programs, financial management, network management, buildings, grounds and equipment maintenance, and public relations.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree in Library Science from an accredited program and Massachusetts Library Board Certification, required.

An additional five years of professional experience in a library or in a related field, preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
