Penrose Library at Whitman College is hiring an Archivist and Head of Special Collections.

The Archivist and Head of Special Collections manages the operation and care of the Whitman College and Northwest Archives and Penrose Library’s Special Collections. In collaboration with the Digital Services team, the Archivist also coordinates or participates in digital projects and initiatives related to library, archival or special collections, including digital collections in ARMINDA, the library’s institutional repository. Instructional and research support, collection management and development, and departmental management and supervision are key responsibilities of this position.

The primary priority of the Archivist & Head of Special Collections is to advance the mission of the Library and College through creative collaboration within the Library and effective outreach to students, faculty, staff and other members of the Whitman & Walla Walla community.
