Library Associate – Children’s Services, The Reading Public Library, MA

Do you love libraries and working with kids? As a Children’s Services Library Associate, you will provide high-quality, inclusive, and equitable library service to users aged birth through grade five and their families. This full-time para-professional position provides direct patron assistance at the  Children’s Room service desk

Responsibilities:

Additional responsibilities include…

  • event and program support
  • circulation management
  • registering new patrons
  • managing patron accounts
  • promoting Children’s programs and services.

Qualifications:

This non-exempt 37.5-hour-a-week position includes one evening and a Saturday rotation. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a positive attitude are essential.
