Adult Services Librarian – Programming & Outreach Specialist, Thomas Crane Public Library, (Quincy, MA)

Professional Librarian II, Range III; Salary $50,382-$61,299 (in six steps) plus weekend differential.

Duties:

Performs a wide variety of information, reference and reader’s advisory services; instructing customers in the use of library resources and technology; planning and delivering public programs for adults; and developing and providing outreach services for adults and multi-age audiences.

Requirements:

Must have an M.L.S. from an ALA-accredited school and a minimum of one year of experience providing customer service and/or instructional or outreach services to the general public. A minimum of one year of experience providing information services is preferred. Must have experience planning and delivering programs for adults; at least one year of programming experience preferred. Must possess a valid Massachusetts Class D driver’s license and regular access to a motor vehicle or other means of transportation that can be used for the delivery and transport of outreach materials.

Schedule: Full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, to include at least two evenings per week and two Saturdays per month.
