Greenwich Library PT Children’s Librarian 15 hrs/week

Greenwich Library is looking for a part-time Children’s Librarian to join our busy team!  We are looking for an energetic individual with excellent reader’s advisory and customer service skills to work with us on the reference desk, to present creative children’s programs, and to assist with the promotion and maintenance of our outstanding collection.   

General duties include:

• General Statement of Duties
• Plans and conducts programs for pre-school and school aged children.
• Provides quality patron service to children, their caregivers, and other adults working with children.
• Implements a variety of weekly programs for pre-school and school aged children.
• Assists in collection development/maintenance.
• Promotes reading through displays, booklists, book talks, and programs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Applicants may include those working towards their Master’s in Library Science who are within seven months of obtaining the degree.  Position is $27/hour and may include evening hours and a Saturday rotation.
