Blizzard Entertainment’s Creative Development team is seeking an Associate Historian to support the growing needs of Diablo and Overwatch within our award-winning lore department. Are you an exceptional note-taker? Do you thrive in a high-stakes and fluid work environment that requires creative problem-solving, technical proficiency, and peerless attention to detail? Are you highly organized, with superior research and reference creation skills? Are you a maestro at orchestrating digital assets and design documentation? If so, then our team needs you!

Responsibilities

• Focuses on researching and archiving all lore references for the Diablo and Overwatch franchises.
• Authority in verifying and approving lore content for the online archive.
• Supports the Creative Development teams by performing in-depth lore research and answering franchise questions.
• Able to tackle other duties as the need arises.

Requirements

• Maintain working knowledge of the Diablo and Overwatch franchises.
• Comfortable optimally presenting intricate narrative information to a wide range of audiences and experience levels.
• Possess practical technical writing experience (e.g., transcript creation, character summaries, process documentation).
• Comfortable crafting visual lore references and narrative content summaries.
• Proficient in using Adobe Creative Cloud, Atlassian, and Office 365 software products.

Pluses

• Versed in all Diablo and Overwatch expanded universe offerings (i.e., animation, comics, manga, novels, web, etc.).
• Experience working with Atlassian Confluence.
• Passion for storytelling and collaborative story development.
