KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the taxonomy team to implement the taxonomy at PLI
- Work with the Senior Director, Legal Information Services & Electronic Publishing to flag issues, to be proactive to the changing needs of the organization and to develop and implement solutions to issues as they arise
- Create and provide training for Program Attorneys and Legal Editors
- Provide training on the structure of PLI taxonomies and the taxonomy application process as needed
- Work with the Program Attorneys, Legal Editors, and Taxonomy Coordinator to ensure the PLI taxonomy is applied consistently and accurately
- Perform Quality Control checks on the taxonomy and oversee data cleanup projects
- Maintain the machine-aided indexing ruleset
- Support the taxonomist on updating and maintaining the taxonomy and creating new taxonomies, as needed
- Oversee the Access Innovations taxonomy systems and coordinate with the vendor, as needed
- Supervise and manage the Taxonomy Coordinator
- Oversee the PLI digital archive project
- Special projects, as they come up.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines as established by supervisor.
- Perform other related tasks as requested by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced Academic Credentials required; MLS preferred
- 1+ years of experience managing others
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Analytical mindset and critical thinking
- Ability to plan and effectively manage multiple projects
- Effective decision-making
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills
