Working as a member of the Access Services team, the Evening Library Supervisor is independently responsible for managing and supervising evening law library operations, as well as the law libraries loose-leaf collection. This position is Sunday-Thursday 3pm-11pm during the regular semester, with summer hours traditionally Monday-Friday 10am-6pm.
Responsibilities will include:
- Closing the library Sunday-Thursday, overseeing continuity of services through the evening hours including customer service at the circulation desk, student assistants performing stack maintenance, loose-leaf filing, digitization work, staffing the desk, and any special projects assigned by colleagues in the library.
- Supervising and training student employees.
- Providing circulation services to library users.
- Providing information and directing library users in the use and services of the law library.
- Organizing and supervising supplementation of all loose-leaf materials.
- Assisting with planning and staffing marketing and outreach initiatives, in collaboration with the library marketing committee and other law school departments.
- Assisting in the overall management of library operations, participating in the oversight of library spaces, equipment, collections, and services.
- Managing all circulating equipment, including chargers, bookstands, cables, etc.
- Other special projects as assigned.
