CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Bronx Community College Library is seeking a part-time Reference and Instruction Librarian who will provide members of the Bronx Community College Community with guidance and instruction in accessing, creating, and using Library Resources. The librarian will join the Learning Services team of the Library Department.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Providing reference and information literacy instructional service.
• Sharing information with faculty and students related to information resources in all formats.
• Communicating and collaborating with the faculty librarians supporting the advancement of best practices, new services, and new library information technologies.
• Creating and maintaining instructional materials related to all library resources and services.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s in Library Science (MLS), Master’s in Library Information Studies (MLIS), or closely related discipline from an ALA-accredited institution with a second graduate degree preferred. Also required is the ability to work with others for the good of the institution.
Additional Qualifications:
• Experience with reference and educational technologies
• Experience with academic information literacy instruction
• Familiarity with Open Educational Resources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
COMPENSATION
$46.49 – $57.85 p/hr; salary commensurate with education and experience.
