The Hunt Library at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) invites applications for the position of Research Librarian serving a diverse population of residential and online students. This professional staff position reports to the Associate Director for Research and Engagement.
The successful candidate will join the Research and Instruction Services department serving Daytona Beach and online students, working business hours plus some night and weekend shifts as assigned.
Duties include providing reference services in a variety of modes, developing online learning objects, sharing in synchronous and asynchronous library instruction, mentoring student employees, and participating in team assignments and special projects. No aviation background is required.

Required Qualifications:
- ALA-accredited master’s degree in library science or information studies.
- Library reference experience.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technology tools/skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse population of faculty/staff, students, and colleagues.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience communicating effectively in a virtual environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Academic library experience.
- Instruction or training experience and comfortable presenting to small groups.
- Database searching proficiency.
- Experience developing online learning objects or online modules.
- Experience training, supervising, or mentoring student assistants.
- Experience developing, providing, or assisting with events.
- Proficiency with APA citation and reference management tools.
