Overall responsibility for the libraries ‘activities on the Beer Sheva campus and on the Ashdod campus, including the management of the libraries’ budgets
Development of the library, journals and databases of the libraries, including selection of books / databases and journals, recommendation of books to various parties, and actual supervision of their order
Responsibility for ongoing advisory activities in libraries, for training students in areas relevant to the use of libraries
Personnel Management in College Libraries
Monitoring technological and other changes relevant to the library’s activities and their implementation as necessary
Representing the college in relevant forums and conferences
Addressing the needs of students, lecturers and other relevant factors
Ongoing work with heads of departments and academic units and with other relevant parties inside and outside the college
Writing and updating work procedures, professional documents, reports, etc. – as needed
Perform additional tasks in accordance with the instructions of the Supervisor
Supervisor – Director General of the College

Requirements:

Academic education, education in the fields of engineering – an advantage
Master’s degree in librarianship – compulsory, specialization in the fields of engineering- advantage
Familiarity with EX-libris software – an advantage
Proven professional and managerial experience of at least 5 years
Hebrew and English – at mother tongue level (including speaking, reading, wording and writing)
High-level verbal and written expression
Excellent interpersonal skills and a high sense of service
Ability to manage, motivate and operate a staff
Ability to work in a computerized environment
Willingness to work flexible hours and perform overtime – as needed
