Digital Collections Coordinator, Wellesley College, Wellesley, MA

Description:

As a member of the Library Collections Group and under the direction of the Assistant Director for Discovery Services, the Digital Collections Coordinator contributes to the continued operation of a library-wide digitization program with a focus on activities that create and enhance access to digital surrogates of the Library’s Distinctive Collections.  This position assists with the management of the in-house digitization lab, including overseeing the work of student employees, and coordinates outsourced digitization. This position also contributes to other key aspects of the digital collections program, including metadata creation, file management, and other digital preservation activities as assigned. 

This position contributes to the academic mission and strategic goals of the College by furthering the goal of broad digital access to the Library’s Distinctive Collections.
