Senior Information Specialist (Library & Information Sciences), Vertex, Boston, MA
Posted June 6, 2022
Description:
Vertex’s Library & Information Sciences team is looking for a process-minded, problem-solving communicator to join the team as our new Senior Information Specialist. This team member will work across the organization – collaborating directly with the Library team to understand current practices and streamline our processes and documentation, and engaging with our stakeholders to support their information needs and understand how Library resources can be made easier to find, use, and trust.
Reporting to our Senior Manager of Library Systems, the Senior Information Specialist will be a champion for user access to Library resources and will be responsible for the Library’s intranet presence, participating in team strategy around marketing and communications, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Library’s portal for requesting and accessing books. The successful candidate will also have a demonstrated interest in gathering feedback across multiple streams of information to create and maintain processes that broaden awareness, streamline practices, and simplify information access for users worldwide.
The Library team views this job as an excellent opportunity for candidates who are early career, have a non-traditional path, or who are looking to better understand Libraries in the biotech or pharmaceutical space. We encourage all interested candidates to include a cover letter to help our team understand why you consider this role a good fit for you.
Application review will begin on June 13, 2022.
