POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Provost and Chief Academic Officer (Provost/CAO), the Director provides vision and strategic direction for library services in alignment with the college’s mission, vision and core values. The Director works in collaboration with the Deans, faculty, and academic leaders to enhance library offerings at the Quincy, Plymouth, and Online campuses, coordinates all library services, and maintains effective and efficient operations. Director works with the stake holders to design physical and virtual library spaces and access to resources with the guiding principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The director will collect and analyze data on resource utilization statistics, usage patterns, trends in higher education, and other relevant qualitative and quantitative data for data-based decision making. The director will evaluate and implement library services that meet the academic and informational needs of students in physical and virtual environments. The Director supervises and evaluates personnel, collaborates with faculty, and works closely with the Provost/CAO, Deans, Director of Online Learning and faculty to improve outcomes in student learning and to provide resources for teaching. The Director facilitates the continuing integration of technology in library and related functions.
