Description:

Successful community programming is one of the pillars of library service. In collaboration with Truro Library staff, you will be responsible for taking the lead in coordinating, planning, and executing programming that is educational, entertaining, and enriching for all ages.

Who You Are:

  • You are skilled using technology including graphic arts, website maintenance, filming, editing, and creating podcasts.
  • You are equally engaged in planning everything from panel discussions to baby yoga.
  • You engage well with others and provide exemplary customer experience.
  • You are original, innovative, and fun.

What You’ll Do:

  • You plan and execute programs, presentations, workshops, and participatory experiences for patrons of all ages.
  • You are comfortable coordinating a wide range of program from panel discussions to arts and crafts.
  • You work collaboratively with other members of the Truro Library staff to generate outreach efforts, in particular to underserved communities.
  • You cultivate relationships with community members and organizations to garner feedback, and potential partnerships.
  • You seek outside sources of funding to sustain our high level of programming.
  • You provide friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful library services to our patrons while working the public desk.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated history of experience with creative software, including PhotoShop, Canva, and communication software, and website content creation and maintenance.
  • Program planning, presentation, or training experience
  • Digital literacy skills
  • Continuous learner
  • Customer service or public interaction experience
  • Library experience preferred
