We are looking for a dynamic full-time Youth Services Librarian who is a team player and intrepid teen wrangler. If you love working with kids of all ages, but have a special spot in your heart for tweens and teens, we want to hear from you!
The Youth Services team at our library has a passion for growing lifelong library users and engaging the whole family. Programs and services are designed to make the library a destination and a place where everyone belongs. Did we mention having fun while doing it all? Yup. Fun is essential.
This Youth Services Librarian will enjoy working with youth ages 0-18 and their families with a focus on teens/tweens. This person will participate in all activities of the department from collection development and programming, to outreach and staffing service areas. We need someone who has the experience to hit the ground running.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in providing friendly customer service, especially with children and families. The person will also be organized, perceptive, and up-to-speed on current library trends. Flexibility and a sense of humor are a must!

Qualifications: Masters Degree of Library and/or Information Science (from an American Library Association accredited degree program) preferred or other degree related to children, young adults, and/or families. Considerable, successful experience working with children and/or teens in a library, as an educator, or other youth-focused field. Independent and collaborative experience with the library skills in the job description. Excellent oral and written communication skills; listening and interpersonal skills; organizational and evaluative skills. High comfort level with technology in general including mobile devices, wi-fi, productivity software (ie: MS Office Suite, G-Suite), Canva, a variety of library digital subscriptions and ILS software – please share your technology comfort level with us.
Full/Part Time: Full Time
Starting Salary: $45,000 – $46,000
