The Amherst Town Library is seeking an energetic and creative professional to serve as Head of Youth Services. We are a dynamic community-focused organization where innovation and tradition collide. Title: Head of Youth Services

Description: This position takes the lead in handling services related to children and teens including administration, programs and outreach, collection management, reader’s advisory and reference.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program or current enrollment in an MLS program. Knowledge of youth literature, experience working with children, commitment to trying new things, technological savvy, and an excellent customer service attitude are essential. 

Compensation: Starting salary of $55,000- $57,000 (dependent upon experience and qualifications). Annual step and COLA increases.
