Reference Librarian I (Kirstein Business Library & Innovation Center)
- Under direction of the Curator of the Kirstein Business Library & Innovation Center or delegate and within the framework of Library policies and practices, participates in reference service to the public. The work also includes performance of various tasks requiring the successful application of the knowledge of professional literature, bibliographic sources, and principles of information delivery and services.
Senior Library Assistant, South Boston Branch
- Includes library assistants working in the branch libraries whose duties involve the following: greeting and directing patrons, registration of borrowers, charging and discharging of books and other materials, maintaining the book and other materials collections, maintaining/troubleshooting equipment, typing/word processing and filing.
Senior Library Assistant, Roslindale Branch
- Includes library assistants working in the branch libraries whose duties involve the following: greeting and directing patrons, registration of borrowers, charging and discharging of books and other materials, maintaining the book and other materials collections, maintaining/troubleshooting equipment, typing/word processing and filing.
- Responsible for performing entry-level phases of descriptive and subject cataloging for review, including basic original cataloging and classification, which may require special language and / or subject knowledge.
Young Adults Librarian II, Mattapan Branch
- Under supervision and within the framework of Library policies and practices, to assume responsibility for the effective execution of the Library’s program of service to the general public with emphasis on young adults and to perform professional work requiring application of substantial professional knowledge and experience.
