2022 SALALM Scholarship Program

Since its founding in 1956, the Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials (SALALM) has engaged in a wide variety of projects and programs designed to advance the scholarly study of Latin America, the Caribbean, Iberia, and the Latinx diasporas.  We are offering a scholarship that enables master’s candidates in an ALA-accredited library and information studies program or an archival studies program to attend the next virtual SALALM annual conference, May 2-6, 2022, hosted by the Biblioteca Luis Ángel Arango (Banco de la República), Biblioteca Nacional de Colombia and Instituto Caro y Cuervo. Scholarship candidates must have successfully completed at least one quarter or semester of study and hold a strong interest in Latin America, the Caribbean, Iberia, or the Latinx diasporas.
