Description:
The Town of Dover, MA (6,300 population) is seeking a dynamic and
visionary Director for its nationally recognized library. The Director
manages and oversees the daily operation of the library services, team
and its facilities. The Director works in close cooperation with the
Trustees, serving as an advisor and as an active participant in policy
and budget development, goal setting, planning, and oversight of all
services offered to the patrons of the library. The Library Director
reports to the Board of Library Trustees and carries out job duties in
accordance with established laws, regulations and policies in
collaboration with the Town Administrator.
Requires a Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited
graduate school and a Certificate of Professional Librarianship issued
by the MBLC. A minimum of three to five years of progressive library
management/administrative experience, evidenced by superlative
recommendations. This position is 40 hours per week, Grade 14, with a
salary range of $87,000-111,000, depending on experience and
qualifications.
