Villanova University seeks two full-time Social Sciences Librarians. Working on Villanova University’s campus, the Social Sciences Librarians are responsible for outreach, information literacy instruction, research support and collection development in communication, education, sociology, or history as members of the Library’s social sciences team.
Villanova University’s Falvey Memorial Library seeks enthusiastic, innovative, and collaborative individuals to shape and deliver liaison, instruction, reference, and collections services in an open and inclusive academic library environment.
Reporting to the Director of Research Services and Scholarly Engagement, the Social Sciences Librarian serves as the Library’s expert on research, learning culture, and information practices in assigned subject areas as a member of the Library’s social sciences team. The successful candidate will liaise with academic departments, collaborate with faculty and students, and advocate for their needs. The incumbent will develop innovative outreach strategies to ensure awareness of library services.

The Library offers flexible work schedules which allow some remote work. The University’s competitive benefits package includes tuition benefits among others. A 35-hour work week with the possibility of reduced work hours in summer.
