The Milton Public Library is looking for a creative and energetic individual to fill a 25 hour/week Youth Services Librarian position. Working under the supervision of the Library Director, the Youth Services Librarian will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing library services to children and teens. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with previous experience working with children and teens. Strong technology skills are needed, plus an ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise the work of others. Flexibility in scheduling is preferred. This is a part-time hourly position that provides earned sick/personal time and retirement benefit.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of recent professional library experience. Knowledge and familiarity with both early literacy skills and children’s literature. Excellent communication and public service skills required.

Pay rate

$21.26/hour
