The Graduate Admission Office is looking for a current Simmons graduate student to help us provide outstanding outreach and customer service to prospective graduate students at the Boston Campus.
- Duties/Responsibilities include:
- Communicate with prospective graduate students via in-person, phone, and email conversations, as well as social networking tools
- Assist with operations including data entry, processing mail, communication through the main email accounts, and application processing
- Serve as a student representative at graduate events, including monthly Information Sessions. Some evening and weekend hours will be required.
- Provide campus tours to prospective students
- Support front desk coverage
- Collaborate on special projects as assigned
- Minimum Requirements:
- Current Simmons graduate student
- Previous office experience
- Preferred Skills:
- Completed at least 2 graduate classes
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Comfortable speaking with a variety of individuals and large groups
- Previous experience working in admissions or customer service
- Mail merge and Excel experience a plus
This is a 5 – 10 hour weekly position for the semester, with the possibility for renewing for Summer 2022 and Fall 2022. The pay rate is $16/hr.
