Cape Cod Toy Library, Inc. is seeking Toy Librarian Associate Internships to help prepare for and start a Toy Lending program of 1,500 curated toys/toy sets and 350 Resource Library books on child development, parenting and play. The Toy Librarian Associate role includes data entry for cataloging and labeling toys/books as well as information regarding “Play Passport” subscribers and circulation, maintaining the organization, cleanliness and safety of the collection, managing and preparing the toys reserved on-line for curb-side pick-up, supporting customer service calls, emails and in-person communications with subscribers, potential customers and volunteers, coordinating volunteer participation and building relationships with adults and children.

Initial work hours for start-up are Friday 9-2, Saturday 9-2, Sunday 12-5.  Applicants are invited to apply for 1, 2 or 3 days and may indicate availability for longer hours on a particular day. Stipends and/or hourly wages are negotiable. Revenues from the “Play Passport” subscriptions are intended to support paid staff positions. To date, all CCTL staff including the full-time Founder/Director are volunteers. The Toy Library is located at 1663 Main Street, West Barnstable, MA 02668 in a wing of First Lutheran Church.  

Qualifications for applicants: Demonstrated technical proficiency, excellent communication skills, detail oriented, self-sufficiency and follow through.
