Black Caucus of ALA: Accepting Applications for Symposium & Workshop

BCALA invites students to take part in two exciting opportunities—a one-day Virtual Symposium plus a workshop at the 2022 ALA Annual Conference as part of BCALA’s Breaking Barriers National Forum series. The goal of this project is to ideate and create a national, virtual BCALA student organization.
Who: Black/African American MLIS students
What: Submit a 15-minute application to take part in forum events
When: March 30, 2022 (Virtual Symposium) & June 23-28, 2022 (ALA Annual Workshop)
Deadline to apply: February 11, 2022 by 11:59pm EST

Additional Info:
- Students who received sponsorships to attend the National Conference for African American Librarians (NCAAL) may reapply
- There is no charge, and stipends/accommodations will be provided for students selected to attend the 2022 ALA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. (COVID permitting)
- This IMLS-funded project is limited to applicants residing in the U.S
