The Access Services Supervisor is responsible for the efficient operation of all access service functions at the Theology Library including the oversight and management of circulation, course reserves, and interlibrary loan services, stacks maintenance, and building access.
Responsibilities include:
· Manage the daily functions of the circulation desk, including hiring, scheduling, training, and supervising student workers. Includes approval of student payroll.
· Process course reserves for School of Theology courses using the Leganto Resource List Management System and the Alma Integrated Library System.
· Process and manage interlibrary loans, document delivery requests (including scanning), requests for non-archival items held in off-site storage, and pick-from-shelf requests.
· Manage on site stacks maintenance, including setting up schedules workflows for shelving, shelf reading, and possible weeding and shifting.
· Monitor and maintain statistics on circulation and physical usage of the library space, including gate counts, interlibrary loans, off-site storage requests, etc.
Required Skills:
Required: B.A./B.S., relevant experience working in a library or in an office within an academic setting. MS Word, Excel. Relevant experience in customer service. Experience managing student or casual workers. Preferred experience: Experience using Alma by Ex Libris, Leganto by Ex Libris, and OCLC Illiad Resource Sharing Management software. Background and interest in libraries and/or theological studies.
