Job Summary
This position provides resource and operations control for knowledge management systems, including project and technical documentation, digital tools, and commercial information databases. The incumbent ensures that content submitted by R&D employees are promptly and correctly managed in accordance with confidential information policies and procedures. The position supports internal content delivery services, aspects of website and database maintenance, and other tasks supporting knowledge and information services.
The environment is fast paced and requires a candidate with good energy, organizational skills, and exceptional attention to detail who can balance priorities and deliver a variety of requests in a timely manner to the satisfaction of the customer.
This position is part of the Information Research and Analysis (IRA) segment of the Technology and Information Services (TIS) team and it offers the opportunity to learn and grow. Bring your intellectual curiosity and demonstrated ability to collaborate with both colleagues and customers to this role. This position interfaces directly with members of SGR North America, the IP group, TIS teams at other transversal R&D centers, Saint-Gobain Group executives, team members from business units around the globe, university collaborators and outside vendors.

The applicant must be passionate about organizing, preserving, and delivering information in support of research projects. An understanding of information and knowledge management systems would be highly desirable.
This candidate should also possess a strong ability to communicate well and provide excellent service to their customer.
In this role, the incumbent will have the following key responsibilities :
- Oversees physical and electronic information repositories in accordance with established procedures
- Ensures submissions are compliant with established procedures, including export control and confidentiality levels. Corrects non-conformities, and/or redirects problems for resolution as needed.
- Processes requests for content by directing requests to the correct manager, documenting decisions, and delivering using the approved mechanisms.
- Performs regular audits of access permissions and procedural compliance. Flags concerns for managers and resolves as directed.
- Provides training for end-users; coaches where corrective action is needed.
- Oversee external publication and remuneration programs.
- Manage internal portal content updates as needed.
- Partner with Saint-Gobain client teams to understand and advise on their evolving knowledge management needs
- Represent Saint-Gobain Research North America knowledge management interests on inter-center teams
- Manage funding of Technology Information Services resources and operations.
- Identify, evaluate, and procure information tools and resources as needed including administration of contracts and non-disclosure agreements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences, Engineering, Business, Records Management, or Quality Systems or Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science
- Demonstrated experience in document or office management, audit or quality systems, or database administration
- US citizen or green card holder to address export control considerations
- Fluent in English; Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to follow procedures, manage a quality assurance system, and take corrective actions
