The Digital Asset Product Manager reports to the Senior Director, MarComm & Martech, and is responsible for developing and leading the execution of the digital asset management (DAM) strategy and vision for CST.  From the vision, the Digital Asset Product Manager will develop an integrated, prioritized, strategic roadmap that will drive efficiencies, effectiveness, and revenue growth.  The ideal candidate will have deep process development and execution experience, including direct experience writing user stories to support software development implementation. The candidate requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to proactively and effectively work with the business and IT to implement solutions that are scalable and well designed.  

Effective digital asset management solutions include people, processes, and data to realize the business outcomes. While the role may be referred to as a digital asset management role, it can include elements of all of the following at various times:

  • Enterprise content management
  • Digital asset management
  • Knowledge management
  • Workflow management
  • Change management

This role will serve as the face of digital asset management, acting as a change agent and proponent for enterprise DAM capabilities and processes. The ideal future state is intended to support content development, curation, and publishing, as well as improved audibility, tracking, risk management, and business operations efficiency and agility.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to lead the development of the DAM vision, guiding principles, prioritized use cases/end-user experiences, high-level requirements, and roadmap
  • Define project scopes and craft business requirements document with input from relevant stakeholders
  • Own accountability for educating internal global teams
  • Craft 1-, 2- and 3-year roadmap for incremental process improvements and DAM Strategic Direction
  • Assess project KPIs post-launch qualitatively and quantitatively
  • Facilitate strategic decisions and creation of tactical plan surrounding development and implementation of target state processes and technology (including relevant business readiness and change management considerations, as well as integration with or migration of existing/enhanced processes and tools)
  • Develop and maintain a metadata entry protocol – work with various stakeholders across the enterprise to define metadata and taxonomy guidelines and actively promote data consistency to support common standards and analytics
  • Provide quality control for all metadata schema and standards to assure accuracy and consistency
  • Own the DAM backlog and write user epics and stories
  • Evaluate, improve and establish DAM business processes, lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies
  • Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to accurately prioritize defects and re-test resolved issues
  • Establish strong partnership and collaboration with Agile business team
  • Follow an agile software development methodology and communicate business needs throughout the development lifecycle and support
  • Work in environments with competing and alternating priorities, take accountability for the quality of deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, technology-related field, strategic planning, or related experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing enterprise digital asset management or content management systems for a large company
  • 5+ years in project management, technology-related implementations, and/or strategic planning roles
  • Excellent computer skills, analytic & strategic development skills
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to articulate ideas to others verbally & in writing
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of biomedical science (desired, but not required)
