Takeda’s summer internship program blends real world experience with an extensive overview of the pharmaceutical industry. Knowledgeable mentors will provide guidance as you gain professional hands-on experience. The summer internship program is 12 weeks in length and offers a unique perspective into a world-class pharmaceutical company. Our internship program also provides you the opportunity to network with people at Takeda through various planned events and activities.
Project Outline:
Takeda Development Center Americas, Inc. is seeking a part time paid intern to assist with completing the organization and preservation goals in the Nonclinical Research Archive at the Cambridge, MA location. The intern would work with the Nonclinical Regulatory Writing and Submissions Team (NRWS). Reporting directly to both the Nonclinical Archives Manager and the assisting Documentation Lead, the role will involve removing preservation threats to documentation. This primary duty includes locating, uploading, and removing potentially obsolete electronic materials. Additional aspects of the role include creating, managing, and editing archival indices and inventories. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
The role requires the skills of someone experienced and/or interested in archival preservation, data management, and archival reference work.
Candidates interested in the documentation of the pharmaceutical industry with related experience will also be considered.
This position would challenge the chosen candidate to engage with unfamiliar materials and unconventional archival processes. The position would also expose the candidate to a corporate archival environment and the invaluable experience of working with a supportive team of peers.

What you bring to Takeda:
- Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis
- Must be available full time (40 hours/week) a minimum of 12 weeks during the Summer months
- Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0
- Undergraduate or Graduate student with at least one year of university studies before internship.
- Pursuit in or completion of undergraduate and/or graduate degree in Library and Information Sciences (BS or BA)
- Return to university for at least one semester post-internship
- Takeda does not provide student housing or housing stipends
Salary & Location:
- Intern pay rate ranges are from $18/hour to $45/hour, depending on students level in their undergraduate or graduate program and level professional experience.
