Strauss Library (https://library.cuanschutz.edu/) is the physical and digital hub of knowledge on the campus, coordinating access to information in support of learning, research, clinical care and service to the community. The library provides the largest collection of health sciences information resources in Colorado, and a digital repository.
Position description:
The Electronic Resources Librarian manages the access to, maintenance, and preservation of information resources in electronic format. This position is non-tenure track faculty (promotion eligible), reports to the Head of Collection Management, and is eligible for partial work-from-home scheduling.
Major responsibilities include:
- Monitor and troubleshoot access issues for the library’s electronic resources
- Communicate with vendors about library resources or technical questions
- Work with the library IT Department on electronic resource access and EZProxy configuration
- Maintain the Library’s A-Z database list via LibGuides
- Maintain electronic resources management system (Alma) and discovery layer (Primo)
- Solicit, maintain and distribute electronic resource usage statistics
- Contribute to campus and library’s advancement of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility
Salary range (faculty rank will be based on years of experience):
- Instructor: $50,000-$58,000
- Senior Instructor: $56,000-$61,000
- Assistant Professor: $59,000-$66,000

Required qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an American Library Association-accredited library school or international equivalent, earned no later than June 30, 2022
- Experience and/or course work with library electronic resources (such as cataloging, managing subscriptions, resolving access issues)
- Experience and/or course work with an integrated library management system
The following qualifications are preferred, not required. We welcome entry-level applicants; training provided.
- Proficiency in managing library electronic resources
- Experience with project management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on teams, both internal and external to the library
- Strong evidence of initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, high productivity, and creativity
- Knowledge and/or experience with collection assessment
- Experience working in an academic library
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to a user service orientation and to working collegially with other library faculty and staff
- Experience in advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility
- Experience with an electronic resource management system such as Alma/Primo
- Knowledge and/or experience with electronic resource tools, standards and initiatives, such as Open URL, SUSHI, and COUNTER
- Experience managing EZProxy stanzas
