As part of the Communication, Outreach, and Digital Scholarship team, the Data Science Librarian supports data analysis and data visualization efforts by students and faculty across the university. They design and implement data literacy services for students and faculty, including individual and small-group consultations, workshops, and instruction. In collaboration with the Office of Sponsored Programs and liaison librarians, they provide training on authoring data management plans, and provide input on data lifecycle management (such as curation and preservation, sharing and reuse, citation, and policy and governance).
Towson University’s Albert S. Cook Library seeks a collaborative and knowledgeable individual to serve as the Data Science Librarian. This position is a 12-month faculty status position available immediately and beginning no later than January 2022.
