Swarthmore College Libraries seek inquisitive, collaborative and service-oriented applicants for the newly created position of Electronic Resources Specialist. This position is well suited for a recent college graduate interested in embarking on a career in libraries.

Position Summary:
The Electronic Resources Specialist assists the Electronic Resources Management Librarian in the management of online materials from publishers and other vendors. These responsibilities may include: acquisitions, cataloging, technical support, usage analysis, management and configuration of the integrated library system and central
discovery index (Alma/Primo CDI), updating the proxy server configuration file and problem resolution for these systems. Full training will be provided as well as opportunities for professional development. The department will allow a hybrid schedule for this position after a successful provisional period has passed, including required onsite training.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree
● Proficient with standard Microsoft Office software or Google Suite in order to
assure efficiency and effectiveness in daily work.
● Detail oriented; demonstrated interest and ability in managing textual and
numeric data.

Preferred Qualifications:
● Prior experience working with serials or electronic resources in a library
environment
● Knowledge and experience working with an integrated library system (e.g.,
ExLibris Alma/Primo).

This is a permanent, full time, 35 hour per week non-exempt position with full benefits. The minimum starting hourly rate for this position is $25.
