The Harvard Art Museums Archives seeks an experienced Archives Processing Assistant to arrange, rehouse, and describe multiple archival collections with women creators.
This is a less than half time non-benefited position, up to 14 hours per week, approximately January-June 2022.

Schedule: Hours must be completed Tuesday-Friday between 9am-5pm. Wednesday/Thursday availability preferred.
Rate: $24-26/hour, dependent on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Process collections using procedures outlined in repository manuals, rehousing materials and addressing preservation issues as needed
- Create DACS-compliant finding aids and MARC records for inclusion in Harvard’s public discovery systems
- Select representative collection materials for potential use on the museums’ social media or within an archives exhibit
Qualifications:
Required
- MLS with archives concentration from an ALA-accredited program
- Minimum of one year of professional archival experience, including archival processing and description
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Positive, problem-solving, and customer service attitude
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs and climb ladders
Preferred
- Experience with ArchivesSpace a strong plus
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
