Program Manager (Part-Time), LAC group, Washington, DC


LAC Group is seeking a Program Manager to provide overall management and supervision of a complex data and knowledge management focused library services program for a Federal Agency in the Washington, D.C. area. The Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring on-time, high-quality deliverables and supervising a mixture of remote and on-site staff. The Manager serves as the single point of contact between the Government and LAC Group to resolve all technical and personnel issues. This is a part-time position, requiring approximately 5-10 hours per week.


  • Responsible for overall management of the contract, including quality assurance for all products delivered to the Government and availability of resources to complete all Task Orders.
  • Act as a single Point of Contact to the Contracting Officer and the COR.
  • Respond to all requests from the Government for information or problem resolution within two hours during business hours
  • Acts as hiring manager for all project staff working closely with recruiters to draft position descriptions and interview candidates
  • Address performance issues with staff


  • Bachelor’s Degree in library and information science, business administration, or other relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience of excellent verbal, presentation, and writing skills;
  • Performance level at the equivalent of 10 years of experience in Program Management;
  • Proven leadership skills with a collaborative management style that will facilitate interaction with supervisors, colleagues, customers and corporate partners;
  • An active Project Manager’s Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
