The Dartmouth College Library is seeking a skilled and motivated colleague for our Library
Technology Coordinator position. We’re looking for someone who can work well in support of a
staff of around 130 people who have varying levels of comfort with technology.
The chief responsibility of this position will be making sure that hardware and software work well
for library staff.
Some key duties:
● provisioning, supporting and maintaining laptops, desktops computers, electronic
displays, and more
● making recommendations about what technology might be appropriate for a given use
case
● configuring and supporting meeting spaces where staff working in-person can meet with
staff working remotely
● supporting some of the systems the library uses to do its work – this will include
troubleshooting for our Ex Libris Alma system, training staff, and tracking service
requests with vendors
● provisioning and maintaining patron-facing computers and printers
● working with our IT colleagues to ensure that the library’s technology for meeting and
teaching spaces matches the technology used in classrooms across campus
Troubleshooting, creating documentation about common technology problems and solutions,
and bringing a systematic approach to the library’s technology practices will be keys to success
in this position.
